What are your opinions on guys owning sex toys?

It seems these days that a girl can own a sex toy and no one will complain. But when a guy owns one, he is viewed by some as lame and creepy.

For example, a friend of mine owns a vibrator. Everyone's ok with that and says good on her. I go out and buy a fleshlight and all of a sudden, some of my friends think I'm a creep who show get a girlfriend. Why do I need a girlfriend for just sexual gratification?

Anyways guys, what are your opinions?

  • It's fine. I think the ones that don't are missing out.

I bought a fleshlight for a guy once. He didn't like it, but at least he tried it. I tried to use a vibrator on him once too and he didn't like it (sort of got angry too). He was such a prude.

    • As if he didn't like the fleshlight! They're amazing but I have no clue what the real thing feels like so I can't compare.

      • No, he did prefer his own hand. He said the FL "pulled" on him too much when he was finished. I suggested he use it in the shower then, but he just wasn't the creative type, so he didn't want to give it a go. The fleshlight eventually melted and turned to goo in its case (they must have a shelf-life).

  • @ nightmare28:
A hooker is for a one night stand. Sure she may be cheaper in the begining, but let's say this man has been having a hard time finding a girl to um ah...you know... Do it with... Guys have a few options: their hand, rape, or a wild one night stand with a hooker. (I'm not a guy and these are only a few options off the top of my head here) for men that use their hands when women aren't available, some times their hands aren't enough and the need for sex toys is evident. If he went for the hooker everytime, the bills would start to pile up after a while... Know what I mean?

  • cool is definitely the wrong word.

a.: They should go ahead and have one. But i don't parade my vibrators or toys around. I have them, but my parents and grandparents could come over for tea any time with no probable chance of running into them.
After all, it's not like i'm leaving them on the dinner table. Not because it's a taboo or wrong, but because it's something personal. And just as much as i only want to share this with select people, i don't want it "rubbed" into my face from others, either.
So i'm totally fine with guys having sex toys, as long as they are not prominently displayed. That makes it neither "cool" nor "lame", it's your decision and i really couldn't care less if they do it by hand or with toy-help, just as much as i don't judge other girls for either preference.

b.: guys having vibrators and stuff: only if they seem to have top class cleanliness in their flat, superb hygiene etc...i mean, i dunno where this stuff went before, and now he wants to put that in me? I have to feel really confident with him caring/cleaning and handling toys properly.

  • If he's using it on himself, no problem.

  • It shouldn't be an issue.

  • "Cool" is probably the wrong word but there is definnately an injustice here.

  • How about...
I'm a guy and I'll not judge people of either gender on this.

  • Do you realize that a hooker is cheaper then those toys?
