Agree. If you don’t try, you never know.
It’s not some scary place, it’s actually pretty cool if you are open to a lot of diversity. Worse case, you get some awesome sightseeing done while you’re there.
Be confident in how you carry yourself though. NYers can smell lack of confidence a mile away - and that can open you up to being rejected (or taken advantage of).
