  • That's not a very good reason if you live in a developed country. Food banks and churches give out food like crazy during this season.

  • Any particular reason?

      • You dont know what a side dish is. Since everything you listed is meat or what would be found in a main course not a side dish.

A side dish is usually vegetables, fruit, bread, cheese or some type of drink. All you are listing here is different kinds of meat, Which would be the main course not a "Side Dish". So its impossible to comment on your poll, and answer with one of your poll options. Since you dont have any understanding of what the difference between a side dish and a main course.

        Ill give you an example

Ribs with a side of fries
Steak with a side of corn and mashed potatoes
Roast beef with a baked potato
A burger with a side of fries
Salmon with a side of pees

See? That is the difference between the Main dish and the side. The Sides are not generally primary MEAT, they are something other than meat.

        • Duh, I listed meats and said to comment what your side dishes were. I can easily list meats as poll choices because they are simpler and what I am primarily interested in whilst side dishes are much more varied so those require a comment.

      • No need to apologize but thank you.

They don't. It's one of those companies that could give two hoots about their employees. But my bills won't pay themselves.

I'm older now so missing Christmas isn't too big of a deal to me anymore.

I hope you have an awesome Christmas.

    • We always did turkey too but turkey was just had on thanksgiving so it's meh to have it again so soon. It doesn't get the same reception. We don't like ham so we are going with a ribeye roast from now on.

      • Exactly! I like ham but my dad is somewhat against eating pork so we're just going to avoid that. I did get a hold of a lamb leg at the grocery store today, as they were all on sale so I guess we shall have both. Yay!

    • What is the signifigance of this?

      Comment Hidden ( show )
        -
      • My family has traditional food for Thanksgiving every year, so the kitchen squad decided that they will only serve seafood for Christmas. Turkeys, hams, roasts, Mac n cheese, all banned during the holiday.

It's been that way for at least 3 generations.

        Comment Hidden ( show )
  • Fries and pussy

  • We have chicken and ham and apparently quiche as the vegetarian option this year.

  • That's called "begging the question" where the question assumes part or all of the answer. You're assuming everyone has christmas dinner: it may come as a huge surprise to you, but a large proportion of the planet's population don't celebrate it or can't afford to, plus many people have to work today. emergency workers for example.

I'd ignore the whole thing if I didn't have grandkids. My daughter is working today so I'll see the grandkids tomorrow for a low key meal, that's quite enough for me.

    • Oh fuck you. It's asking what you are having for Christmas dinner. If you're not having one then obviously the question doesn't apply to you. Move on.

I believe you mean a "loaded question" anyway.
