Yep. If it's a new car, y'alls need a fresh can of anti-seize so you can take muffler clamps off, strut bolts, exhaust manifold bolts and such while it's still easy. Hell, I even remove the rotors and put a bit of the high temperature grease (3000F) on the end of the axle for ease of future maintenance.
If it ain't gonna last a quarter million miles (400,000km), I don't even want to look at it.
Absolutely. I also use a product from Canada called Rust Check which is a bit like cosmoline rust inhibitor. If y'alls live in snow country, gotta keep road salt out of them sheet metal seams. Y'alls can make yer own by mixing mineral spirits, transmission fluid, and Vasoline. Except, the stuff y'alls buy is better quality.
