So right now you have to be 18. But what do you think it should be? I personally would say 16 years old and up should be allowed on here. Because even though the stuff is really weird, I wouldn't consider it to be nearly as harmful as stuff they could easily get to online under 18 anyways. What do you think?
Pretty much. Not to mention if this does happen and makes the news I'm pretty sure the media would only show past posts about the three banned topics and none of the good this site does to help people. Then it'll be goodbye, Is It Normal.

Also, it's not about age, because trolls can be ANY age. Fixing the the quality of post can be done by simply ignoring obvious bait/trolls to the best of your ability.
Yup. Before the site got revamped it was rampant with pedophilia and incestuous post almost everyday (probably still is away from public eyes). The ones that slipped through the cracks weren't as disgusting; but once you get Gold and read post that are pending for approval, they're more detailed.
By the time people are 16 they're probably juniors/seniors in highschool which is when you start cooling down, being productive and getting a job rather than being an unruly freshman who thinks he or she is the shit since they're in highschool.
Either way, nobody cares about breaking a rule by going on before the age limit, even if they did, some of my classmates in college might as well be 13/14 yr old hs freshmen while some freshmen are more mature than some of my professors.
A 12 year old could be on much worse places on the net, but that does not negate your point. We just have different ideas about what's fine for kids to see.
Maybe I'm desensitized, but I just shrug at a lot of the depraved sexual stuff on here, and think, "Meh, a kid could get over this too."
