What age is ok to start using weed?

I say keep away - as there really are no short term and mostly long term benefits. Believe me - weed can be a gateway to other drugs as you will find yourself having to purchase your weed from others using more potent drugs etc, there are numerous - countless opportunities that can and will arise. Life experience: at 24 years of age I smoked marijuana the first time, 15 years later opiates became my drug of NEED, then later Heroin as opiate pills became impossible to get. I believe the progression from weed use (12 yrs) to HMO doctors prescribing 300 x 10mg opiates per month led to me to Heroin use and methamphetamine use.

Understand this, I was well on my way to having a wonderful life, then as stress or whatever filled my life so did the use of more stimulating drugs, that it is my opinion - I smoked weed to alleviate whatever it was that bothered me, then later I made the excuse to use opiates (because some doctor said it was okay) which is bullshit, it was my decision. It all boils down to this.
People can say what they want, but I am telling you from experience.
Playing with fire - taking risks that involve drugs that change your behavior is extremely dangerous, and incredibly stupid. I was at one time a RN working at a mental health facility in Las Vegas. What I witnessed - young kids suffering from severe psychosis, caused by mariuana - was horrible. Seeing children ages from the age of 11 coming to the facilty restrained is heart breaking. ALL DAY LONG AND EVERY DAY - simply by smoking WEED.

Later is better because it affects brain development. Once you're an adult the majority of changes it produces are completely reversible if you abstain, but this is not true of younger people. Sadly at 18 your brain is still developing so it will be having an effect. It's all a bit of a gamble really. I smoked a shit tonne of it in my early 20s and it doesn't seem to have done me any damage but who knows? Maybe I stopped myself from becoming the next Einstein lol. We'll never know

The brain stops developing at 25, so I'd say around 25 is a good time ONLY if you're at a mentally stable point in life, if not, wait longer.

Im not sure what the law should be as I do believe people should have the right to do the wrong thing sometimes, but if it were my kid id prefer them to not smoke weed until like 21- 25 if they wanted to

I started at 14, underage is not that bad juste be careful because too much can cause you brain damage. I smoke it about once in a month and I’m ok! If you have schizophrenia in your family don’t risk it.

I've been smoking since I was 14. Back then the weed was "midgrade" now it's fucking hightest. So just be careful. I've always said that for my kids, they can smoke pot as long they have good grades. But if they get caught, they're fucked. Lol.
