What age is normal to not live with parents anymore

I was like 25 when I got away from mine.

It depends. I live in a big city where everything is nasty expensive so people end up staying with parents for quite a while to save up.

What I've found is that those who don't go to school move out quite quickly, but anyone who is going to a local university or college doesn't really move out until they're closer to finishing their degree.

  • When you leave for college, you leave for good.

I wanted to leave my narcissist parents ever since I was 14 but due to my inconsistent jobs and bad financial condition I ended up living with my parents througout my life.
I am now 40 and living in my mom's basement

I left for college when I was 17 and then got a job right after college in a new city so i haven't been back since. I feel like 17 is too young but thats just how it typically goes in the US
