What act of scumbag courtesy pisses you off the most?

Like when somebody just leaves a few broken chips in the bag and puts it back in the cupboard or when they leave 2 squares of tp on the roll so they don’t have to get a new one.

Here's one I've experienced, rant ahead - be warned...

Back in my university years I was always the designated driver. I always jumped at the opportunity to drive somewhere with my friends and be cool. I never once asked any of my friends for gas money. Nobody ever offered me any money either, but that's another story. It would have been nice to get some gas money, or at least someone buy me a drink...

From going to the pub, to driving almost 300km to Prague for the weekend. I paid for the fuel, for any road tolls, parking fees, etc...

It wasn't until a few years ago, when I was supposed to meet with my friends, that I realized the ultimate scumbag move is for you to call up one of your mates to come pick you up.

They say you live on the other side of town and reluctantly agree to pick you up. Then at the pub they ask for 20 Euro worth of fuel. 20 Euro is like 15 liters of diesel, enough to drive a family hatchback for over 200km.

To add insult to injury, that same friend then says they can't drive you home, cause it's getting late (It was 10PM!), making you take the bus home.

I did get my revenge tho. Told that same dork I'm inviting the boys over at a pub and am gonna pick everyone up. Drove to his house, doors locked, he couldn't get in. I lowered the window and said - Sorry bro, car's full, even if I drove to his house alone. I then floored it, peeled out and left the bastard in the dust.

But because he can't pass up an opportunity to get free lunch, he called me and apologized for how he treated me. Told him no worries, meet you at the pub and now you know your lesson.

Guy arrives at the pub, nobody is there, cause I faked the whole thing. Furiously calls me and I told him it's getting late and I can't be bothered. Bus tickets are like 2 bucks, deal with it...

Lesson: Treat people the way they treat you.

I needed someone to write for me in exams when I was back in school/college because my writing has always been slow.

One time this woman came in and sat next to me who I assumed would be my scribe. Turned out she was a reader. I would tell her I was going to do a question and immediately she would snatch the exam paper out of my hands and start reading a question I was perfectly capable of reading myself.

So not only was she not improving my word-per-minute count, she was also wasting valuable thinking time and as soon as I tried to tell her what the answer was, she'd butt in and tell me I "wasn't allowed to speak" as I was under exam conditions...

    It REALLY frustrated me!

The one that you drank all day with and provided all hospitalities, but still drives home drunk.

When people are home 24/7 and they are too lazy to get off their bums and hush their dogs from barking.

when people offer to give a poor person food or money but they only do it to show-pony to others that they are a good person, when they should do it for the only reason that a person in need, needs it!

These type of people always pretend to be good citizens and fake an image of who they are to neighbours and friends but behind closed doors they are the most selfish, judgemental people you could ever come across.

I know what you mean but I don't see that as too bad really. Like I'd rather people competed with each other over who can look the most charitable than over who can look the most affluent. Regardless of the real reason people do it, the result is the same to the person in need.

          • This. Some shithead gave me a nice check as a gift at my baby shower. Everyone thought it was great. Then it bounced. Another example of scumbag courtesy.

When people walk slow ahead of me and it's hard to past them by.

Probably when people smack their food or gum in an obnoxious way. Drives me nuts.
