Sounds to me like a strong "disgust response"...I feel kinda messed up typing this but I think I get what you mean.
Personally I feel this way when something makes me uncomfortable but I can't really pinpoint why. When I stop to really think about it I can usually figure out what it is...but sometimes it's not easy.
For me when I look at someone who looks like they have trouble getting around, then I just kinda feel weird. The reason for me is because I just can't help but experience whatever it is I THINK the person is going through.
It's bizarre and is usually accompanied by this odd "skin crawling" feeling lol. Idk if you can relate to any of this, but that's how I am personally.
No offense to anyone reading this who is overweight, I think I'm just wired a little weirdly or something.
i’m plus size, and even i feel that way sometimes. even though we know it’s wrong we can’t just fully forget the bias we have all at once. it takes time to start to see something we’ve looked at as abnormal for so long as a regular thing, and that’s okay.
That's interesting that you're plus size and you experience the same thing. I can't forget the "bias" all at once either, I just kinda try to hang back and recognize that the person in front of me probably knows what they're going through more than I do.
Weird feeling towards fat people
