  • Same problem man, high metabolism and ironically the more muscle you gain the higher this will go up. Ironic because if you are lazy and eat a lot you still will not gain. The only cure is to work out like crazy, trust me if you are eating a lot you will gain the weight. I never took supplements gained 80 pounds in a year from doing light exercising and sporadically doing push ups, sit ups, and chin ups. Beyond that just biked, swam during the summer once a week,

    • Maybe you gained that weight in your gut without supplements you can possibly gain 1 lb of muscle a week on a high intensity lifting regime coupled with 5,000 calories a day and at least 1.5 grams of protein per lb of body weight although there are many variables everybody's body is different.

      • In the calves, biceps/forearms, abs, back/shoulders mostly, I see your point though that would be 48 pounds and I do eat a lot like excessively. That was long time ago when I was a teenager still so I probably added 30 pounds in bone as well. I haven't exercised since then over ten years ago, through work I gained like 5 pounds in muscle but haven't lost any of it either so been the same weight for like 6 years is ridiculous.
