I was pretty good in school most of the time and my grades were great in English and spelling (at age 10 they told me my spelling and vocab was at University level) but I sucked at math and still do.
The fact that I was pretty well behaved <most> of the time meant the teachers almost never suspected me when I did do mischievous things, for example: throwing chairs into ceiling fans, tipping all the desks over or putting thumb tacks on the teachers chair.
