Not really. I learned many diff. skills. mechanic on gas and diesel engines, Roofing, cement finisher, worked for the welfare dept. as a maintenance worker.
And a locksmith for 32 years . the last 15 years as a locksmith I was making $100000 a year. then sold out and quit. To my regret. And csn still have a good debate about a lot of subjects. Just a lack of face to face debate. Wit the exception of my father-in-law. Who I seldom see as he lives 6 hr's away.
I'm not rich. I own a 3 bedroom 2 full bath living room, family room house on a big lot. 3 vehicles. 1 pickup, 1 van. and my wife drives a Dodge SUV. We eat what we want. The biggest problem is deciding what we want to eat. Been married 43 years 2 grown sons. And 1 sister-in-law tat lives with us. Her husband died and when my wife went to visit her she looked like she was dying too. She asked if I cared if she moved in with us. we ad 2 unused bedrooms. So we got her healthy and company for my wife. They have the living room and I get the family room. Works for me.
I was 22 and she was 21 when we married. She retired from the county library and I retired from the county welfare dept. in 88. That was wen I started locksmithing. My wife worked 19 years. I worked for the welfare dept. for 6. I got a herniated disc. They could not find me another job due to lack of education. They paid for my locksmith school which was a waste of time. My wife said she was tired of working. I told her if she wanted she could quit I was making enough wit my retirement, her retirement and what I was making as a locksmith.
