Also the context of a kiss can be very important about whether or not a willing kissee will allow the kisser to close the deal. Was the kiss attempted in public? Was the kiss attempted after an argument? in an untidy or dirty environment? etc etc. Not to make you anxious and obssessed with micro-managing every aspect of the process, but I am just trying to make sure that you've considered some of these things when planning a kiss for a love interest.
The best thing to do, might be to ask her if she feels like there is a chance that your friendship can grow into something more because that is a genuine possibility. Take her answer as the truth and let it determine how you decide to see her and treat her from there on.
