Washed by mother in law

My step mother used to wash me at the kitchen sink when I was 11/12. She used to boil the kettle and mix the hot water with cold in the sink basin and wash me all over. I believe it was to save putting on the hot water system. This was pretty embarrassing but our next door neighbours often came round for a chat and would open the back door and just come in. At first they would apologise and try to leave but my step mother would say "Oh its OK come in and close the door, he's not bothered about you but people may be able to see in from the street" They would then have a conversation whilst my step mother washed me. It was extremely embarrassing.

she shouldn't have been washing you at that age. you should have said i want to wash myself in privacy after all she wasn't even your true mum. or she should have encouraged you to do it yourself anyway which she didn't and was wrong, let alone let the neighbours in aswell! she didn't care about embarassing you and obviously she wanted to do it otherwise she wouldn't have, i find it a bit pervy!

Why is this called "washed by my mother-in-law" when this has nothing to do with a mother-in-law? This story is creepy and weird and the only way it would be creepier and weirder is if someone made it up because then it would just be random, creepy and weird. Ew.

you dont say how old you are now but I believe that this may have been more common than you think in the 60's - Saving putting on the hot water system. Im sure the neighbours have seen it all before and would probably have kids of a similar age. Its probably difficult but try to forget it as you probably will never see the neighbours again - hope this helps

This practice obviously still affects you quite badly because you don't know the difference between a stepmother and a mother-in-law

There is no difference and who gives a fuck.

There's a reason your dumbass is always at the bottom of the thread.

What country did you grow up in? Was your stepmother from a traditional country where it was in the culture to do this kind of thing? What did your dad think about this? Did this happen in modern times or in the past? What were reasons for doing this to you?

I would classify that as child abuse of a psychological nature. I hope you are getting in some good revenge now that you are older- she really deserves it!
