I liked the fact that there weren't ads on every video (or ads at all), and it wasn't littered with as much BuzzFeed-esque type content. However, there is far more content in general now, including a lot of really helpful how-to videos.
Unrelated, but I think Google's search engine was much better back then, though. It actually gave you what you were searching for and not a million results that are only slightly related to what you searched, most of the first 5 or so pages being shitty blogs and clickbait sites.
Was Youtube really better in the past, or is it just nostalgia?
