In general rape is defined as sexual penetration without consent. So if by fingering you mean they actually put their finger(s) in you, then yes that would qualify as rape. But that's a legal definition, it doesn't have anything to do with whether you're a virgin. I'd say you are.

They're basically the same concept. Either way you should press charges, as they are both sexual offences. Don't worry that you waited for years either. Sometimes people take time to come out about things, but that doesn't mean nothing can be done about it. While you cannot change what happened, you can try to stop them from doing it to others.

I would probably call what happened to you an assault, a sexual one though and I think that it's safe to say that you can call yourself a virgin still - I doubt you wouldn't have felt if they had done something more to you whilst being knocked out.

It's normal to want to know what the difference is for sure. If you woke up and you were not liquid messy or bloody at your vagina, then it's probably safe to say that you were not raped. You were violated for sure with fingering, but not raped as that would involve a penis inserted into your vagina. You are still a virgin and a good girl.
