I think that "normal " and "abnormal " aren't going to apply here...in my opinion. I can only base my opinion on things I have seen and have been exposed to. I live in the South, and though I am progressive and live in a metropolitan area, I still have some pretty traditional values on SOME things. I just put myself in your wife's shoes and on one hand, if I had been married to you for 30 years, you should have respect for and and absolute adoration for me. On the other hand, we have been married 30 years so we should be totally comfortable with one another....
