Everyone has their beliefs and sexual preferences. Most guys would love a three way but some are more reserved and would rather not. Talk to him, like sit him down and discuss it and make sure he cannot avoid it. Tell him you love him and want to have a new experience with him. It could be as simple as him being insecure about his ability to please two women at once. Or a trust issue or other concern that needs to be worked out before you both can consider having a three way.
If you've never done it before its a great experience and has brought me and my man closer and we are still good friends with the girl as well. Granted, we are in our late 20's and Im not sure how old you and your man are, but it does take a certain level of maturity to add this into your relationship, so if you are younger you might want to wait till you are a bit more grown up.
