Wanna talk to someone i haven't seen for years but scared of being creepy

I'm lonely. I don't have any close friends and I just moved back with my parents after living away for a year doing a volunteer job, and I'm still looking for a job and classes.

I haven't talked to anyone from high school since graduation 3 years ago, though I can find them on Facebook. But I don't use it at all.

I need to talk to someone and learn to socialize. Problem, I really don't want to scare off the closest thing I have to a friend by accidentally acting creepy. I've never really done much with anyone, and I really need to fix that. But I don't know what to do at all...

Is it acceptable to just say "hey, I just moved back, do you think we could meet up sometime to catch up?" Does that sound OK?

Many people go through this especially after high school and college. You'll have to try different ways to make friends

Honestly unless you join a sports team or make it known your are back in the area I don't know. Unfortunately I wasn't successful in meeting back up with people once I moved. Others I know were though

Yes it's perfectly normal to reach out and it's not creepy. If they say no and you keep asking then that's a bit creepy. Go for it!
