So... you both have jobs and are in college, and this means now is the right time to have a baby? Just how do you see that working? You'll float through a blissful pregnancy, pop the kid out, and then go back to school and work the next day?

Until you have a child, it's impossible to truly understand just how much upheaval they cause - in your head, in your relationship, and in your wider life.

Unless, of course, you're wealthy enough to be able to hand the infant over to a nanny when it's two days old, and then just carry on with your life as normal, the only difference being that you'll have a cute little accessory to show off to your friends and dress up in adorable clothes when you feel like playing mommy.

Finish your degree, and build a savings.

I dont ever want children, which means I will probably want to get pregnant next week 😂. It's too young for me tough as I change my mind all the time.

Children are forever, think it through.

What is it they say, plant, puppy, then a relationship, then marriage, then if you still want kids and all 3 of those are still alive and well, then you are ready.

i wouldn't do that unless i dated the guy a minimum of five years. simple math honey. if he can stand you five years he will stick around and raise his child. under five years and divorse is way too high. its not you , its not him , its the math. you cant argue with math. For same-sex married couples, the break-up rate falls from roughly 8 percent for those who have been together for 5 years to under 1 percent for those who have been together for at least 20 years. dont get stupid on us now,

      • His maths doesn't save you, it's a probabilistic computation. It won't cover every single case, but it is helpful as a general rule. Just as you don't quit University thinking you'll become a billionaire, but all of a sudden, boom, you're Steve Jobs.
