Walk out mid-sandwich because of coughing worker?

She was wearing gloves, but coughing on her bare arm while making my sandwich. I didn’t want to bother trying to tell her to cancel my order, since she hardly spoke English and wasn't self-aware enough to know she was making customers sick. So when she turned around to get something I just left.

Is It Normal?

  • That's probably a smart thing to do.

  • I worked at a slaughter house in the hot and cool room. You don't want to know some things that went on with the meat.

    • They get sprayed down with ammonia and people cook it afterwards, if slaughterhouse employees need to do whatever with the meat to keep working in those environments so be it.

  • I would've done the same thing.

Engaging would be more trouble than it would be worth to me, but I sure as shit wouldn't have wanted to eat that.

  • I’ve worked at subway and I’ve managed to work up a skill in order to suppress sneezes, hurts like hell and is annoying but at least the sandwich is ok.
