  • Actually I just came here to ask if anyone else had the same thing and what they did about it. I don't expect you to know what it is. I've been to about 3 doctors now, seen specialists but I'm not convinced it's anxiety, especially when it happens when I'm nothing close to anxious. I do think anxiety is a trigger but that there's something underlying. As I said, panic attacks are completely different. For example they give me a rapid heart rate. This incident I'm talking about here doesn't affect my heart rate at all.

    • Well it probobly is if that is what they all say. These are all signs of anxiety. So why don't you just learn to relax?

        • I don't think so. I think what they mean is it wouldn't hurt to look at this condition as if it is anxiety and try to control it as if it were anxiety, if nothing else to rule that out.

When I was having anxiety attacks I didn't have a rapid heart beat, just dizziness and heavy chest. And the attacks weren't always the same. They would even occur in situations I was completely comfortable in. Also, I didn't believe it was anxiety at first, but teaching myself to relax helped me deal with it so I guess it was.

I hope you find out what it is and how to control it.

          • I have dealt with anxiety on many occasions in my life. I have adopted relaxation techniques and coping mechanisms. If you could ask anyone in my family they would tell you my anxiety is gone.

The thing is the relaxation coping mechanisms I use for anxiety don't work for these shivering episodes. Half the time there is no anxiety to get rid of. It's more a roll your eyes, here it comes kind of feeling. Treat it like an IBS flare-up by laying horizontal until it takes however long it takes to pass.

        • No I am not trolling. You are the one who seems to be upset over these symptoms when even your doctors told you otherwise. We are not trained professional so probobly know a lot less. Yet you somehow expect us to fix it. All the symptoms you listed are things that come with anxiety. So it sounds like anxiety. Denying it will do nothing for you. If your doctor can not help we cant either. So just try and relax since their is nothing we can do for you. Clearly the doctors can not either. So either they missed something or its all in your head. So just chill out if they already ruled everything else out. What exactly makes you so sure its not a panic attack or anxiety issues?

          • See, this is what makes me think you don't read properly. Have a search through this thread and point out anywhere that I said that I expected a professional to come on here and magically fix my problem for me. You can't, but you'll find that I did ask a couple of times (including in the OP) if anyone else experienced it. That's the purpose of this thread. I even replied to one of your comments saying I wasn't expecting a diagnosis or for anyone to know what it is, only that I'm looking for others who have experienced it also. That's the point of this site, isn't it?

I really don't have the time to keep repeating myself every time you ask a question and I give you the answer, only for you to disregard it and ask again in another post, or for you to keep patronising me by telling me that I'm sooo upset. Because if you post something on the internet it MUST be because you're upset about it, right? Couldn't be any other reason...

            • Well everything I have just said is falling on deaf ears. So I guess it is useless trying to continue this conversation with you. Look if you made up your mind already why bothering asking for a second opinion? You obviously do not give two shits about anything we say. So what’s the use of discussing anything with you at all. Not that I really care if you pay attention to my opinion at this point. If you drive yourself to madness over this issue that is entirely your decision. I have given you options and you do consider or even acknowledge them. You do not want help you want pity. Well you have none from me. I gave you all I really could and you ignored it. I am not going to lose over any sleep over it. You are creating your own problems. If you want it to stop make it stop. It is all your choice. So don’t come blaming the rest of us when nothing is working out as you did this to your self you masochistic fool.

              • Again your entire posts proves you don't read and like to come to far-out twisted conclusions about what others are trying to say. Good riddance.
