I think it's your right and prerogative to feel attracted to whom you are naturally physically attracted. You shouldn't have to feel an obligation to your own race(or any other for that matter) to appease societal norms. As long as you understand that whomever you are attracted to regardless of race that person is never obligated to return your interest, attraction and or heartfelt affections, I see no problem with your inclinations.

Tell me about your mother, what kind of relationship did you have with her?
haha, well I guess we have a normal relationship, other than my parents in general are not very approachable when it comes to personal/delicate topics. My mom recently (last few years) occasionally tells me I can tell them anything but that's just not the impression I grew up with. I had already become self dependent on solving my own issues before I had even gone to middle school.
