Using the word "ice" instead of "cool"

I and another person started saying: "ice" instead of "cool". We'll be texting or hanging out and something cool will happen and then we both say: "ice". We also recently started saying: "so not ice" when something bad happens. Is this normal?

    I only voted normal because I once dreamt of the slang "crystal" being used and it did not happen. 10 years ago and it still hasn't caught on...
