Using quotes from movies as a kid

I wanted to see if anyone else, besides me, did this as a kid. I watched a lot of TV growing up, and throughout elementary school, I would use quotes from lesser known tv shows and b movies and pass them off like they were mine. I also remember once getting called out by someone and being embarrassed pretty bad. Anyone else did this as a kid?

    I did but I would never pretend they were my quotes/references, My favorite was whistling the Joker's theme from Batman The Animated Series while walking down the halls.
