Using an applied attitude

I tend to think of different attitude/mindsets to help me get through the day. I find that using an attitude/strategy helps me to be nicer to people. Is it normal to have to actively apply a positive attitude, or should the knack of appearing approachable and saying the right things just come naturally?

I act indifferent with everyone. It tends to work well.

I understand where you're coming from. If you can keep up with a mindset you must be doing really well.

Yeah, I have to make an effort to do it, too. Somebody really screwed up when they didn't make everyone think alike.
