I think there are more technical givaways, beyond subject matter. Punctuation, grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structure to name a few.
Use of passive verbs is another...like I just did. It's not wrong, and only frowned upon in formal writing, which some here like to attempt.
The rambling posts without any punctuation or paragraphs is another, and easily identified.
Of course, differences among cultures: American English, as opposed to Oceana or Brittish for example, can give clues. Persons who are really sharp can discern Brittish from Scottish or Welsh, Australian from New Zealand, or Texan from Midwestern.
