  • Have you burned all your poly-cotton shirts yet? (Leviticus 19:19)

Have you eaten any meat containing any blood or fat lately? (Leviticus 3:17)

In fact, have you eaten any non-kosher meat of any sort? (Leviticus 11:4-7)

Or are you one of those Christians who believes that your eternal, unchanging, omniscient deity suddenly changed his mind a couple thousand years ago, so now you've got a pass to pick and choose which bits of your book of supposedly everlasting, holy truths you need to pay attention to, and which verses you can just wave away as no longer applicable?

    • Leviticus 19:19 is of questionable translation: "Keep ye my laws. Thou shalt not make thy cattle to gender with beasts of any other kind. Thou shalt not sow thy field with different seeds. Thou shalt not wear a garment that is woven of two sorts." Vs "Ye shall keep my statutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind: thou shalt not sow thy field with mingled seed: neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woollen come upon thee."

The fat and blood were meant to be sacrificed to God, but as Jesus was the last sacrifice, the rule is obsolete.

Jesus himself said your last statement need not be followed.

      • Your Bible supports the following:

Sex slavery of women, human trafficking, remarrying, cannibalism, murder of people who have sex before marriage, eating pork can send you to hell, buying children as slaves...it goes on and on

It's disgusting and you can't pick what you want to believe and what you don't want to, it's all in the Bible. Every horrible act you can think of is promoted in the Bible. The newer Bibles will leave that all out because they want people to buy into religion.

It's a really messed up cult.

        • The Bible states multiple times that it is against fornication and adultery, slavery was the norm for an extremely long amount of time, it only supports remarriage after death (when marriage ends), it says not to consume human flesh, and Jesus overruled the rules about unclean animals. Can you make an argument that isn't disproven with a mere Google search now?
