I have been best friends with someone for about 8 years and she suddenly has stopped talking to me. I keep trying to think why she would do this, but I can't even remember a fight that we have had. Is it normal for your BFF to do this?

    seems like she was unhappy with the relationship for a while now and didn't know how to deal with it, so she decided to distance herself from you instead of having a fight about it.

    Yes. It happen to me once. When my bff suddenly sisnt want to talk to me. And later i found out it was because i was always stick to her, and she wanted to be alone.. but it ended well. so you should really try to talk to her.

    Happened to me, never really kept a good friend. Main reasons I would say is relationships either me or them. It sucks, but life keeps going and you'll make new friends.

    It's not normal if the friendship was healthy and everyone treated each other with respect. Think back to possible occurances that could have set her off.

    I am actually guilty of doing this because I was not being treated with any respect. I just couldn't take it anymore. Whenever we hung out I would always be made fun of and criticized for pointless things. It really brought me down. Especially in highschool I was treated like some pet. Now that I haven't talked to my so called bff in months they are going around asking people who know me why I'm being like this. They are just acting like the oh so innocent person who did nothing wrong making me seem like the bad guy. Now that my 'bff' is out of my life I feel so much better about myself.

    you had to have done something. i ditched my best friend of 7 years because i was just sick of her being a pathological liar, and a backstabber. one day i had the realization that she brought me down rather then made me happy.

    No, its not. Maybe you did something wrong and have not realized it, but in my opinion she's being childish in not coming up to you and telling what upset her. If its really for no reason, than she must not have been a good friend in first place. What kind of 'BFF' just abandons her bffs?
