Upsides to eugenics

There are upsides to most things. Even dictatorship can be argued for because it takes minimal amount of time for a supreme leader to make a decision and enforce it (as opposed to the long-winded parliamentary debates most democratic countries suffer from).

So, yes, it's normal.

Yes - just as with Communism, in theory it sounds good. I mean the general idea of directing the genetic fate of our species rather than leaving it to chance seems quite appealing.

The debate surrounding eugenics is ongoing and will no doubt remain at the fore as advances in gene modification technology make it easier to manipulate our species. The problem really is dealing with the challenging moral and ethical questions, alongside the fundamental science of it.

I'm tired of reading all these moth breathers supporting things like this. I am sure they support eugenics as long as the people dying are other people and not them or their families. That is where the hypocrisy begins. Most of the eugenic supporters are mainly just socially retarded conspiracy theorists who have a chip on their shoulders.. they write egotistical comments online saying shit like "the human race is shit" or things like that..ugh shave you nasty ass neck beard get a girl friend...or boyfriend..

The only reason you feel this way is because the current social layout allows idiots to thrive. All throughout history you could not have a large family if you could not provide food, shelter, and clothing. There is a natural cycle that keeps the flock efficient it is just not in full swing. Today idiots breed non-stop and are helped in the name of charity when they fail to thrive.

Eugenics involves too much intervention when it is a symptom of failure in modern society. disthing's comparison to the appeal of communism is dead on it is a junk idea.

Eugenics = the general improvement of humanity. If you truly believe that we need no such thing, you need to leave the house a lot more often.

We currently live in a world in which proper eugenic policies are simply nonexistent, and just look where it's gotten us.

Yes, eugenics can have some good sides to them. However, due to how over 90% of people feel and act, you know that any attempts to genetically improve Homo Sapiens won't happen. If anything, our quality is barely at average and decreasing ever so slightly everytime a less-than-genetically-great person is born.
