I have a friend thats my age, in her 40's, who is still a waitress. She works in not the most fancy restaurant, but nice and makes a very comfortable living. She is college educated but continues to do this because she loves the work and the people, she is fantastic as a waitress. She is single and does what she wants. She says she makes just as much, if not more, than what she would have as a teacher. Im sure if she got paid the normal minimum wage and did not benefit from tips, shw would be a teacher right now.
Unpopular opinion : I dont understand why people tip waiters
