I used to not understand why waiters should be tipped, but now that I know, I accept that tipping is a necessary evil in the stupid American restaurant system.
I never eat in restaurants, unless somebody pushes me to go, though. The whole experience is unappealing, imo.
Yeah, I can understand that. I'm not big on going out to eat here (It's expensive and I just don't care that much) but I go out to eat a lot in the US (boyfriend's choice) and have friends who work as servers. I'd rather they just get paid a decent wage. The "logic" behind needing a tipping system is fucked.
