Waiters and waitresses get paid low wages. If it weren't for tips, they'd have a hard time making a living. If people didn't tip, employers would be forced to pay higher wages. Thus, food prices would go up. If you can't afford to tip, then don't. I feel that generous people that tip, keep prices down for everyone.
If employers were forced to pay minimum wage, then the coffee and donut we now pay $3.00 for now, would probably go up to $6.00. Could you imagine how much the cost of a newspaper would go up if your paperboy got paid $12.00 an hour?

But that is not the way it should work.
Employers should be forced to give them min wage and they should not depend upon customers
