Unexplained "skin tags" on labia minora/majora

I have a number of bumps on both my labia minora & majora and I have no idea what has caused them or what I can do to get rid of them. They do not blister, irritate, itch, swell, or display any other symptoms that might accompany an STD. I have been to the gynecologist twice and tested for every STD known to man and my results have all come back negative (thank God). I have been told that they are nothing more than "skin tags" and that some women get them after they give birth and that I should not be worried, but it's been over 4 yrs. since I've given birth and the appearance of my vagina began to change over a year ago. Although I'm elated that I can't pass anything on to anyone, this altered appearance is affecting my sex life. I can't feel sexy & confident with "mystery bumps" on my vagina. I'm frustrated because the physicians are telling me the same thing and there has to be something that can be done to get my vagina looking the way it was prior to this occurring. If there is anyone out there that has or is experiencing this as well, please provide me with some insight or suggestions as to what I can do.

Thanks so much!

just read abt the unexplained "skin tags" I fully understanding everything your saying and I have a solution. I too started getting them on my neck, under my arm pitts and now a few on my labia minora. I went to see the doctor and he used and over the counter wart application. These are not warts but it makes it possible to remove them in the privacy of your home. Its a spray can type, with a straw that you attach to the end of the part when the medication comes out.. and in the kit are several types of tips that you can use. Use the one and will pin point the tag. First step is get everything ready and in place. 2nd step spray can over the wastebasket to saturate the "tip." then gently touch the area where the tags are and if they don't fall off immediatly they will in a day or two. I had them removed from my neck and have since maybe had one or two reappear in a different area but never as many as I originally had. Good Luck.
