    It's terrible that in this day and age in a western society like the US, which is supposeably with the times, they do not look at situations like this case by case.

    Let's say you have a real connection. You're both deeply in love, you're only 2 years apart, but because "this piece of paper says this so you're a rapist now" you can't even engage.

    Honestly, I would leave the country. The US is a shithole anyway.

    I think the US has a Romiet and Juliet law though. Look into that.

    I would treat with caution, as she can totally ruin your life if she wants to.

    Alternatively, just date her and don't fuck her.

      Yeah the rules are dumb. Most other states it would be legal for us. But I'm 18 and still living with my parent so I can't leave the country or move.
