    What a sucky age in the romance scene. When the question is "is it legal?"

    I have a hard time imagining there would be any real legal ramifications when a 16 and 18 year old are together. I mean two years difference and they would throw the book at the 18 year old?
    Of course I am not an attorney so I cannot advise.
    "Age of consent" has not been an issue for me since I was in high school. These days my main concern is if a lover has taken his/her arthritis meds before we get down.

    You can check out this page and scroll to your state. Some states have these "close in age" clauses. At least you are proceeding with caution. Of course double check other sources.

      Its illegal in my state I checked. Thats why I said 'underage' in my post, I meant the legal term. You have to be 18 to be able to consent to sex as an adult in my state.

              Poor girl? You say that like I would be taking adantage of her. She is taking so much initiative with me that you can't blame me in this situation.
