  • I searched this topic due to last night's episode. That brought me here, and led to creating an account cause I had to share my story: I'll get to last night's case in a minute. When I was a teenager, my brother and I shared a bedroom. I woke up in the morning for school. Being a lazy teenager, I had a pile of clean clothes on the floor that I didn't feel like putting away. I went to grab clothes to get dressed and was surprised that they were wet! I smelled the clothes, realized they were pee'd on, and I glared at my still sleeping brother, thinking he pee'd on my clothes. It didn't make sense. We didn't drink and we weren't fighting. Then I remembered dreaming that I was peeing on a pile. Then, about two years ago, I woke up to find a puddle on the bedroom floor. I looked for a fallen beer bottle, because I now drink beer nightly. Nothing to be found. My wife woke up while I cleaned up the floor, we talked about it, and she said that she woke up during the night and saw me standing in the corner of the room. I remembered dreaming that I was peeing, and I remembered seeing a reflection of the floor in my dream. It turned out that I pee'd on a framed mirror that went all the way down to the floor.
As for last night?, my wife asked me this morning after I woke up: "do you know what you did last night?" I was bewildered, knowing I didn't trash the house or anything. I had NO IDEA what she was talking about. She said "you pee'd in my sock drawer!" (I can't help but to laugh right now) When she said that, there was no surprise in me, no shock. I knew exactly what she was talking about. I thought it was just a dream. Needless to say, I washed a load of socks today and cleaned a dresser drawer with Lysol.
We talked about it afterwards and wondered if sleepwalk peeing stems from my childhood: a childhood bedwetter, we figured that getting yelled at as a kid by my grandparents for wetting the bed led to me as an adult, getting out of bed while still sleeping, for fear of getting yelled at. I may not realize that the location is wrong, but I'm not going to pee where I'm laying.
And apparently, bed wetting is inherent. Passed down to the opposite sex. My daughter has researched this and told me that 5 out of 8 kids up to the age of 12, wet the bed.
