U.s. city with the most superficial shallow people

Even though LA has typically for the past numerous decades to be generally thought at being at the top of the list, I have traveled around and have found it not to nessesary be so much anymore LA taking the cake with the most women dissing unattractive men in half a second no matter how many other great qualities he's got and men doing the same with unattractive women. I have recently found in Houston, I have seen women do some notoriously cruel things to men who were really good guys with good souls (because I knew those guys), but just weren't physically attractive by superficial standards. I didn't even see women in LA do these things. On the other end of the list, I have found Kansas City people to be the most natural, considerate and recognizing of those with decency, they seemed more simple, more real (not NY having the most real people in spite of what some people have said, there's actually much more shallowness anywhere on the East coast than the good ol fashioned Midwest), and that's another reason why they're more decent in KC, more folks there still believe in older time values and live a little bit less in the ultra-new superficiality-is-everything world. Anyway, those are my observations. You all check the box on where you have found the most shallow judging people. I'm not nessesarily talking about dating,I'm just talking about how people are treated in general based on looks vs what's underneath one's superficial looks.

  • I’ve only been to Alaska, New York City, and Boston.

I thought Boston was amazing, I stayed in the rich new area, the people seemed very friendly and happy. Probably because they were all rich though.

New York City was a little too American for me lol. People protesting, yelling, some dude was naked, gay men were making out on the train, girls being rude.
It seemed like everybody was battling for who could get the most attention or shock you the most. Wasn’t very fun honestly.

  • Most of the south is like that. People for the most part are still more "conservative". Thats why they call it southern hospitality.

    • Houston is not conservative and hospitable like the deep South, it's become a very modern and trendy city. Trendy to the point to where that is so important over anything else there in the social scene. The deep South places have alot more of the old fashioned values like the Midwest.

    • NY is like that. The bigger cities are more modern and more about visual appeal, everything having to look pretty. Everyone competing to look better than others. Houston, NY, and LA are 3 out of the 5 biggest US cities, big reasons why they're the most socially superficial.

      • Well what excatly do you mean by superficial? Do you think a superficial city would be a good one for a guy with decent looks to succeed in on tinder?

  • I can't comment on America, but my home city of Derry, Ireland has a reputation for people being very friendly and welcoming to outsiders. Unfortunately though they don't show the same respect to each other. Anyone who does ok for themselves tend to think they're better than everyone else and people tend to treat anyone "below" them like shit.

    • I've found the Irish to be very real and down to earth, and aren't so wrapped up in that trendy superficial game.

    • I've known numerous people who got great inner qualities which get ignored because these superficial people automatically write them off because they're not pretty on the eyes. Why do people have to be so pretty to where it outweighs all of the rest?

  • Philadelphia being superficial? I don’t think so, and how could they with their awful accents.

    • But what happened in Houston was even worse!

    • They're quite superficial in Philly. I saw a reality show there not long ago, forgot which one, where this woman was bragging about only looking for all the superficial stuff when looking for men, and smiled "and my friends are all the same way. The man's gotta be rugged and hot, I mean we gotta be able to have fun ya know, can't do it if he's not hot!"

        • Oh yeah. Italains actually cover the East coast in general, even more so in NY. Them and the Greeks come from the countries of figures like Adonis. The good side of the Italains though is their food. Wow!! You just can't find Italain food, pasta, or pizza anywhere else in America like in New York. It's amazingly good!!

            • I agree with you there. Asian food is best in California and Vancouver, and of course in Asia. Italain best in NY, London, and Italy.
