It's possible they have a latent bisexual attraction to each other, but it's also likely they are very secure in who they are, and like to do stuff like this to mess with other people. Its rather common for some friends to trade insults and/or act gay, even if they are very much hetero, at least in my experience. some of my (Guy) friends used to do shit like this all the time, and in that circle of friends, i'm the only one who is not married (and they all married women as well)
