    Lol it’s meant to be about the fact that he manages to make himself mobile and fuck up a military base using a device constructed of dead rats, all while being stuck in the form of a pickle. Most people miss the absurd and inventive process that show goes through.

      It's funny cuz it's not funny. It's funny because the writers of rick and morty wrote pickle rick as a dumb gag, but the fans took it way too seriously. Making normal people hate it for reasons like Pickle Reeeee Dude.
      Now pickle rick is post-ironic it's funny cuz it was born into a dead meme.

        Yeah, it's pretty much gotten to the point where it's "so unfunny that it's actually funny" really. It's died down again by now, but eh, nothing wrong with a little joke I guess.

      Yeah... must have been a slow day for the writers when they came up with Pickle Rick. I don't see the appeal either.

      For a show with some hilarious shit in it, it sometimes falls flat on it's face badly and keeps forcing something not funny to become funny.
