  • I always hear so called nudists say that it's not about sex, but that it's about being natural in the outdoors, or whatever. However, if it's not about sex, then why would people shave themselves bare down there? What could be more natural than not shaving?

    • Rose! Come on now, if someone wants to be part of the "in crowd" among those who run around naked then they GOTS to shave their junk!

I do not KNOW know of course because i am not a nudist. I live a transgender lifestyle so running around naked is, well, not a great idea for us trans bitches.

    • Yeah, I wondered the same thing when I first started going to nudist places. Even the traditional naturists tend to shave or at least trim close. I can’t speak for them, but we think being shaved or trimmed up looks better on us.

      • Well, it sounds kinda more exhibitionist than naturalist to me. To be honest nudist beaches, and resorts have never really appealed to me. Shaving, or trimming the pubes sounds too much like the people are trying to show off their private parts to strangers in my less than humble opinion. It's uncomfortable enough for me when I see someone shaved bare in a gym locker room. I would probably be comfortable at a topless beach, but I wouldn't want a bunch of people around me. That's just my preference.

        • I am also a card carrying AANR member, and I think you raise a good point. 30 years ago both men and women naturists were totally natural (untrimmed). The untrimmed look has been mostly abandoned in recent years. I think people trim because they are motivated by conformity. They want to blend in with the crowd, just like choosing conservative clothing styles to wear to work during the week.

Honestly, the faster you strip down, forget your clothes, forget your worries, feel comfortable in your skin, and head over to the volleyball games, the happier your day will be, and the freer your soul will feel, if you have a personality that is not overly rigid.

          • Honestly, I tend to agree with NikkiClaire on this. I just don't care to see a bunch of random naked strangers, and I certainly don't care for them to see me. I reserve my body for myself, and whomever I happen to be engaged in a healthy, monogamous, long-term, committed relationship with. I prefer to be much more discreet, and discriminating with regard to whom I expose my body. It's my body, and for me I prefer to exercise my freedom, my freedom of choice to not share myself with just anybody.

            • Not really. Nudists fuck just like you do. They just don't swap, or accept money for tricks. Why don't you come down to the beach for some naked volleyball. It will get you in touch with your lost wholesome sexuality that you once sold for cash. Absolutely nobody will judge you. You can play the net and be happy.

              • Regardless of whether, or not she has sold her sexuality for cash in the past what is so special about playing naked volleyball? I thought nudism was supposed to be about being natural, not about sexuality, whether, wholesome, or not. I don't think there's anything wholesome about being naked on a beach with a bunch of people who might enjoy looking at me. I wouldn't be comfortable being buck ass naked with a bunch of other people unless it were in front of primative tribal people for whom nudism means absolutely nothing.

For me truly wholesome sexuality would be something I would only share within the bounds of a loving, monogamous, committed, long-term relationship. Wholesome, or not, for me sexuality is not something to just share with any old body. Wearing underwear, or bikini bottoms is just plain more sanitary

        • Nah, not exhibitionists, just keeping groomed.

          • Well, hair grows there for a reason, so I don't think it's appropriate to remove that hair when people are going to be naked in front others. Body hair is natural. I think when people remove that hair it's kinda gross, like the people are trying to show off their private parts, and look like prepubescent children. It doesn't appeal to me. I think the current obsession that some people have about removing pubic hair is a result too many people watching too much pornography.

            • So, you don’t think people should get rid of natural hair. So, I shouldn’t cut my hair scalp short or shave my beard? I assume then your airpits are hairy. Oh, wait, it’s just THAT hair you’re hung up about. People tend to groom the hair that’s visible to others. Many nudists groom all their hair for that reason. Not too hard a concept to figure out.

Anyway, besides your pontification about how people should groom. Those are mighty strong words about nudists, who you apparently have not spent any appreciable time around to make such judgements. If you spent just one day with them, you’d realize they’re some of the most friendly, laid back folks you’ve met.

Your ignorance on both subjects is shining through right now.

              • You can have whatever opinion you want, but the thing is I honestly wouldn't want to hang around with a bunch of buck ass naked people who have shaved their nether regions. It's just my personal experience, and just like anyone else I am entirely entitled to my own personal preferences, and beliefs. No offense, but I don't really care to be enlightened about the matter, at least not by any sort of personal preference. It's my personal opinion that there's no reason for people to groom their public hair unless they are trying to put their genitals on display. You can disapprove of, and judge me all you want, but I wouldn't care to spend any quality time around a bunch of bottomless people.

A so called nudist can do whatever they want in their designated spaces. I'm just calling it like a see it.

Thing that I don't care for is way a lot of nudists talk about their "lifestyle" to others who are not nudists in a way that sounds like their trying to sell something, and if the non nudist isn't buying then the non-nudist must be ignorant, or uptight. I simply just wouldn't want to see others like that, nor to be seen like that. I have a right to my beliefs.
