First off, you arent more likely to get herpes by salad tossing, you can get it just by normal sexual intercourse.
Youre confused with hepatitis A, that comes from contact with infected urine, blood, or fecal matter, but even that, (as well as hep B and C) can be gotten easily if you have sex with someone who has it .
The key thing is the person has to have it already before they can spread it. (No pun intended) .
