I'm 17 and I've never been on a date, or had a boyfriend. I'm the shyest person I know.

I've been asked out by a lot of guys over the course of time, and I always say no. Even when there has been two situations where I actually really liked the guys back, I was just too shy to admit it.

I hate myself for it, because I missed out on so much.

I really want to try to date one day.
Any advice on how can I get over how overly shy I am?

I get minipanic attacks when they say sweet things, or ask me to give them a chance. The first thing that pops up into my mind is "Say no... say you want to be just friends" even if I actually like them back.

    just explain to the guy that you are very shy and it will take a while for you to open up. if he is a nice guy, he will understand.
    when they ask you out, suggest going just for a coffee, just a short date and to break the ice and then as you get more confident, you can go to dinner and then to see a movie and anything else that you would like to do.

    Is it possible that since you only liked two, you'll say yes to someone even better? I don't know.
