Why? Life is risky. Crying over every tragedy must be taxing. If it was especially brutal I'll take notice and hope the perpetrator dies terribly. Because at the end of the day what can the average person do? Some people are shitty, others not.
Thousands of humans die every day. You dont have the time of day to mourn them all. So what if conservatives are a tad higher up on the scale of what we mourn at?
Why not have the tribe you are apart of be first? I honestly have no idea why people have that level of open mindedness and optimism about foreign relations.
So you are saying that your own mother isnt worth even slightly more to you than a random person from the steet?
(If you dont have a favorable relation to your mother than insert other guardian person)
"Why not have the tribe you are apart of be first?"
Empathy and selflessness as opposed to selfishness.
"I honestly have no idea why people have that level of open mindedness and optimism about foreign relations."
Because you are a conservative and it's completely alien to you. You are in the position of a blind person trying to imagine color. I suspect you just can't.
"So you are saying that your own mother isnt worth even slightly more to you than a random person from the steet?"
Perhaps more to me personally and selfishly, but as a member of the human species I wouldn't have placed her life ahead of another human being (provided I didn't have some information that this person was a rapist, etc.). I would hope she wouldn't have handled the situation any differently regarding me.
It's called being bigger by being a part of something bigger than you are alone. You could never understand.
to want to punch people who complain when others arent wearing a mask?

I just love how often I waste time engaging with conservatives only to have them parrot my own points but as if they're arguing rather than agreeing.
Me: Conservatives lack empathy and think they should come first.
Conservatives: No, we just don't care as much about human suffering! And that's not true; Murrica just comes first!
