The video store, in my mind, is a sacred memory. It's what I picture when I go to my "happy place" during deep breathing exercises. There was something magical about browsing the aisles on Friday night, picking up the video boxes, flipping them over, reading the back covers...the sense of TOUCH is something you will never replicate on a streaming site.
It's the focal point in my subconsciousness where everything was 'right.' It saddened the hell out of me to read Family Video, the last chain in the U.S., was permanently closing. It means in all likelihood I'll never walk into a video store again.
To really miss video rental stores?
