I never been interested in having kids that much, there is a lot I want to do with my life and seem like there is enough people in worlds as it is.
But all the self identified 'childfree' people I have meet seem to be either self obsessed yuppies who seem to think that society owes them something for no clear reason or just grown spoiled brats who are openly rude to families and children.
It's weird.
If you mean what I think you mean, then it seems like even though you know that you don't want children, you still aren't a "child hater", and you still don't oppose to other people having children. Thats normal. And everybody has reasons why they either want or don't want children, and that's okay. It's a big responsibility. But the people who are arrogant about it, I would consider those people to be a part of the childfree movement.
Ok guys.. I am a little shocked that we are still having this conversation in 2011... I dont have kids, never wanted kids, not really care for kids ( in general) Woman have battled long and hard to have a choice... a choice to marry or not, work at what ever we are able to educate ourselved to do or not and have children OR NOT. Clearly I am North American ! I find children bellowing and running wild in public places a bother but so do people that have children.. other peoples kids are not fun to be around when they are cranky and carry on.. its not arrogant its pretty normal. Dont worry about other peoples lives, dont waste time with jealousy .. you have no idea what their journey is all about so.. focus on your goals and mind your own business
