NO... them telling you doesn't make it your business. It is no concern of yours. Them telling you is more likely a precaution... just in case you noticed some emotional tension between them. I'm confident they didn't tell you because they wanted you to be part of their marital issues - which would be both absurd and awkward.
I'm assuming you aren't married, because you seem to have a misunderstanding of what is and isn't a your business in your parent's (or anyone else's) marriage.
You don't get a deciding 'word' in their marriage - only they do. However, it is completely understandable if you feel uneasy around your dad this soon after the affair. BUT *your* emotional turmoil doesn't make their marriage issues (and decisions they make in the marriage) any of your business... because it isn't.
Take your nose out of their marriage, and let them do the husband and wife things.
to not forgive my dad for cheating on my mom with a prostitute?

Are you married to your dad? NO?... Oh, Okay... then since you're not married to your dad, then IT'S NON OF YOUR DAMN BUSINESS.
GET THE FUCK OUT of your parent's marriage. Get your own life, and learn to live with the knowledge of your dad's infidelity - then move on.
