I think that it's normal to a degree, but what prevents you from fooling around and going to parties in real life? Unless you are like twelve or something.
It doesn't have to cost much to go to parties/ Take a night out. But you would need someone to go with you ...Very few people would be comfortable all alone and depending on making new friends for the night.
Why would you need confidence to go outside and have fun?
