To feel worried about bringing a girl to meet your family

Idk I just feel as if the dynamic would be so awkward or embarrassing, my mom would probably fuss over her like crazy, my dad would make some terrible jokes that wouldn't land. My brother would be really awkward and idk I just feel like it'd be a shit show hahaha, is this normal? Does everyone positively DREAD bringing a girl home to their family?

    Dude you’re lucky, your family sounds fun. It’s better than having toxic family members that will be mean or judgmental. And hey you never know if it will actually be a fun memory to look back and laugh at!

      Fuck yeah.

      Reading this OP took me back to my awkward teen years and being afraid to take my boyfriend home for dinner because my mum would get drunk and start threatening people with knives and telling the guy that he could do better.

        Yup. Exactly why I wouldn’t let my boyfriend (if my lonely ass ever gets one) stay with my family for too long. They are toxic assholes.
