To feel this way about suicides?

one thing I do have a problem with is when suicides are labeled "cowards", or someone says they "took the easy way out".

Also, calling these people selfish is ABSOLUTELY ridiculous!
don't get me wrong, I don't agree with suicide, BUT I can't stand when people put others down that cannot defend themselves.

1.
If they were religious, is it really "cowardly" to kill yourself expecting to go to hell?

2.
If they weren't religious, is it really "cowardly" not knowing what would happen after you've killed yourself?

3.
Was it really selfish of them to kill themselves? Ending a life they were unhappy with, or is it selfish of you to expect them to keep up the facade so YOU can keep them in YOUR life?

What about people that have children who will find them dead? Is it selfish of them to want their parent to live? Or selfish of them to not want to b traumatized with the image of their dead parent?

Well, where they do it is a different conversation entirely. Some people have kids and later on decide to have a sex change. That effects the children as well. Are they selfish? Or is doing what makes them happy more important? One Will always be viewed as selfish, but there is nobody more important to you than you (in most cases).

Now, if you cared about your children more than yourself and still left them father/mother less, then you could be considered selfish.

Some people don't understand that others suffer a little more than the average person. They also don't understand what's going on in their head. You also have to take into account mental illnesses. They aren't thinking clearly.

If I ever do kill myself I would tape 4 grenades to my head and put fishing line through all 4 pins then pull the line

Yeah, I agree. The person committing suicide is mentally ill and it's unfair for them to get abuse for this. It's hard to comprehend what's going through their mind, so I think people shouldn't be so quick to judge.

I think in some places it's even considered illegal. I think that is really cruel and idiotic.
How do you sue someone whose already dead? Cruel because it's just so mean to sue someone who failed to carry out their attempt. Someone who is already depressed enough as is and people add to that by suing them and bullying them. They'll really make them not want to live.

I know it was legal in some of the states. I don't know if they stopped that or if it is still a functionally law. I think the law was stopped in England, but I'm not sure.
          Its best to google it:)

I agree with you and don'tpissmeoff.
I find it very offensive to say that they were selfish cowards. If you ask me, they were brave to knowingly head into the unknown. People should spend more time being compassionate towards those who pulled it off and those who didn't. Being compassionate while trying to figure out what pushed them over the edge. I think if more people were kind and the world was a peaceful place, that most people would not try to kill themselves. Being cruel to others takes a toll on people. If that part of life was solved then maybe people would know how to prevent it.

i prefer to ask what problems led to them feeling they needed to kill themselves and what can be done to prevent it

Researches have shown that more girls have thoughts about suicide but more boys commit suicide... conclusion... girls are cowards!

Haha just joking but it needs balls to commit suicide and not just think about it!
